Rown Dash

Over the last few months I’ve been making another little game. This time I used an engine called GB Studio, which is designed for making games that can be run on Game Boy and Game Boy Color, though you can still play it in a web browser and is actually really playable on mobile without needing to download anything.

It’s set in the same universe as another of my games, The Curtain, but this one is a lot lighter on lore and more on simple gameplay features. And those gameplay features quickly become extremely frustrating to program when you’re targeting a handheld console made in the previous century. Making this game has given me a real appreciation for what we can do with modern game engines.
